    where am going with that particular piece is to show that over time a great emperor has done graet damage to the christain faith, by embleshing everything it stands for.

    One of the main blasphemies that the Knights were accused of was venerating a head refered to Baphomet. It is proported in some books that this was the head of John the Baptist who the Knights saw as the true Messiah and Jesus as a usurper.
